Nolan Field Insurance was started in 1962 by Nolan and Lucy Field. They began the business from their home in Ontario, Oregon with a desk, a sign on their car and one client. Dave and Barbara Waldo joined the business in 1969 and the business soon became Field-Waldo Insurance, Inc. New partners, Ray Waldo and John Forsyth joined the firm in the late 1970?s and have helped to grow the business throughout the Valley, with an office in Ontario, and other locations available by appointment in Vale and Nyssa.

Bestbath is a family-owned company that has been manufacturing composite showers for over 50 years. In 1992, when the owner's mother, Elena Multanen, needed a safer option than the tub shower that was already in her home, the Bestbath team designed a new shower for her. If it helped Elena, then it must help other people.
This monument is located in front of the Bestbath Factory. It stands as a reminder of Elena and the people who helped this company get to where its at.
