SPECIAL WORKSHOP WITH GUEST PRESENTER
Crowdfunding for Small Businesses – Wednesday, January 29, 2020
Crowdfunding is a method of raising capital that has helped companies obtain over $34B in capital since 2008, yet only 2% of small businesses are using this method to fund their startup or growth objectives.  One of the main reasons is the lack of knowledge surrounding crowdfunding. Get ahead of the curve!
This workshop will help you understand if crowdfunding is a good fit for your business. Learn the four types of crowdfunding and how crowdfunding can work in tandem with other capital-raising methods. There will be a question and answer period, too.  Plus, all participants will receive a Crowdfund Better Crowdfunding Cheat Sheet & Readiness Worksheet!
This workshop will cover the following topics:
  • What crowdfunding is and how it works
  • How crowdfunding differs from other funding methods
  • The benefits of crowdfunding beyond dollars raised
  • Keys to crowdfunding success
About the presenter:
Guest presenter Kathleen Minogue is Founder & CEO of Crowdfund Better, a crowdfunding consultancy that guides entrepreneurs, small businesses and social enterprises to strategically unlock the financial and creative support of their networks and empower individuals and communities with new capital-raising tools to fund projects not supported by traditional finance. She has coached highly successful crowdfunding donation, rewards and investment campaigns. A thought leader in crowdfunding, Kathleen has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and Forbes.
