Are you interested in finding out about an important volunteer opportunity with the American Red Cross? Here’s your chance!
Imagine being awaken by smoke alarms in the middle of the night. You rush to get your family out to safety now that your home is engulfed in flames. You’re standing outside of your house in your pajamas in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. What now? Call the American Red Cross! On the other end of the phone is the Regional Disaster Duty Officer ready to help you during one of the worst days of your life.
The Regional Disaster Duty Officer is a lifeline to temporary assistance during a disaster. The Duty Officer is responsible for dispatching Red Cross volunteers called Disaster Action Team (DAT) members to meet with victims of home fires, and other disasters, to provide temporary relief such as funds for a hotel room, food, and clothing.
Come to our Call to Action session to find out more!

It’s often better to be proactive rather than reactive in business. This is especially true when it comes to complying with rules around taxes and employment. Mistakes can be costly, time consuming and stressful. That’s why the Zions Bank® Business Resource Center is teaming up with guest presenters from three state agencies for a new workshop where you’ll gain access to experts and important information in a friendly, casual environment before a “situation” develops.
In this workshop you will:
• Learn from representatives from the Idaho State Tax Commission, the Idaho Industrial Commission, and the Idaho Department of Labor.
• Find out what you don’t know but need to know about:
o Income Tax Withholding, Idaho W-4 and other forms
o Workman’s Compensation and Unemployment Insurance
o Independent Contractor versus Employee status
o Wage Payment Law Compliance
The workshop, “Regulatory Roundtable”, is offered for informational purposes only, and should not be construed as legal or other professional advice. Consult with an attorney or other professional concerning your own needs and circumstances. The views and opinions expressed by the speaker are not necessarily those of Zions Bank®, its parent or affiliates. Zions Bank is a division of Zions Bancorporation, N.A. Member FDIC.
This workshop will:
• Define branding and its relevance to revenues
• Describe the difference between marketing strategy and tactics
• Provide resources to develop a marketing plan for your business
• Explain how marketing, public relations, sales, and customer service work together to build and sustain the success of your brand
• Provide an overview of marketing tools including websites, social media, newsletters and more
When: Thursday, October 31 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Where: Icon Credit Union Nampa Branch 164 E Maine Nampa, ID 83686
Please join us as Icon Credit Union celebrates being the first in Idaho to receive the Juntos Avanzamos designation. We will hold a flag raising ceremony and have a few guests from the community speak on the impact this designation will have for our Spanish speaking members.
Started in 2005, the Juntos Avanzamos designation, which means “Together We Advance,” highlights credit unions committed to serving the Hispanic and immigrant communities by providing education and services that improve financial well-being.
